THE ART OF FOOD CRAFTING CHICKEN KORMA
Toasty's chef / owner Tom Hagen will lead you through crafting a meal of Afghani Chicken Korma, a rich, creamy curry characterized by it's mild, aromatic, slightly-sweet flavor. Every culture has its tradition of braised meats! Kormas are braised with vegetables in a sauce of yogurt, cream, nuts, and spices. They originate from Muglai cuisine and have less intensity than many other curries, making it a popular choice for those new to foods from this part of the world!
Considering how commonly we find chicken on the world's dinner tables and in the world's artwork, artist / educator Deb Hannu will guide a printmaking lesson, using the imitable, quirky chicken as the subject matter! You''ll design and carve a linoleum block, focusing on textures, to print some funky chicken images, in honor of the Korma!
Registration: $5Dinner / Artmaking: $50 payable at event (Dinner includes a cold beverage; feel free to bring an adult beverage along if you choose! All needed art supplies are provided).
Gratuity for meal not included.
