  • Duluth Civic Orchestra
    Music

Join a welcoming group of musicians and experience the joy of playing a diverse repertoire together. We embrace players of all standard symphony orchestra instruments, while maintaining balanced instrumentation. No auditions or age limits—just a love for music and the ability to sight-read, play at a high school level or above, and bring your own instrument. Whether you’re rediscovering your passion or honing your skills, this is the perfect place to make music and connections!

    Duluth Ukulele Community Strum
    Music

Instructor: Christina Cotruvo DUCS jam sessions bring together all types of ukuleles and skill levels of adult players who want to play their ukulele in a fun setting. We will play from The Daily Ukulele Another Year songbook, each person taking a turn in selecting a song for the group to play. Each player must bring their own ukulele, music stand, songbook and tuner and be familiar with at least 3 chords.

  • Shape Note Singing
    Music

This class will introduce you to the robust rhythms, haunting harmonies, and distinctive old-timey sound of Early American shape note music, so-called because the written music uses four differently-shaped notes. Excellent preparation for joining the monthly singings of Duluth's local shape note group.
