Students will be introduced to the basics of 2D, 3D and stopmotion animation. They will learn about the animation industry, pipline and techniques including the 12 principals of animation.

Build a computer bot to compete against other coders! Whether you're new or experienced, this is the perfect way to explore competitive coding. No previous coding experience is necessary. The Code Championship Series is four online tournaments hosted on Google Meet. If you have a modern browser, no download is required. Players must be able to navigate the internet. The Google Meet link will be emailed two days before the tournament.

Learn about computers and how they work using "unplugged" activities and hands-on technology. Explore algorithms, inputs, outputs, and processing using popular devices like the micro:bit, sphero, and makey makey!

Students will be introduced to basic concepts of culinary techniques, learn how to safely use industrial kitchen equipment, identify and use ingredients in basic food preparation while learning basic recipes with hands-on experience. They will be introduced to proper knife skills, food safety and sanitation, and how to work collaboratively. Students will then work together in teams to create a three course meal to share with their peers.

Design and Manufacture projects, using 3D printers, Laser engraver, Apoxy, and different types of hardwood.Different shop tools will be used, and safety will be taught as we process each project.

This is a hands-on technical course which will guides students through the principles of electric vehicle technology by designing and building a functional electric skateboard from a kit. Students will explore design and engineering principles, apply concepts from physics electronics , and mechanical engineering in a practical, project based learning environment. Students will design, engineer and assemble a personalized, rideable electric skateboard, which will be theirs to keep.

Students will participate in a collaborative, family-style environment where food is used as a bridge to build community and connection. Each day is structured around the shared experience of planning, cooking, and enjoying nutritious lunches and snacks together in a professional lab setting. Between these communal meal times, students will dive into "Babysitting Prep," exploring human development and the practicalities of money management, including earning, spending, and saving. The session also features interactive workshops focused on navigating peer relationships, helping students develop the communication skills necessary to foster healthy behaviors and positive social connections.

Students will learn introductory skills for safely enjoying outdoor recreation. Conservation and Traditional Ecological Knowledge will also be introduced. This class will give students a taste of the middle school Outdoor Recreation and the high school Outdoor Leadership classes.

GRADES K-5 It doesn’t matter whether your kid wants to be the next Grandma’s Marathon champion or getting started. Our Young Athletes Foundation Running Club is the perfect place for them. Our club meets weekly and provides a fun, engaging training program that culminates with our Minnesota Mile on Friday, September 11th. No experience is necessary; everyone is welcome, from avid runners to first-timers! Entry to the 2026 Minnesota Mile is included with Running Club sign-up.

This is a hands-on technical course which will guide students through the process of designing and building a functional electric scooter from a kit. Students explore the integration of mechanical structures with high torque electric powertrains, while gaining practical experience in CAD modeling, metal fabrication. and electronics. Students will design, engineer and build a functional electric scooter, which will be theirs to keep.

This program focuses on teamwork, cooperation, and hilarious challenges, utilizing stations that combine fitness, skill, and pure silly fun.
