Instructor: Tami Nelson Huskies Fiddle Band is a club that invites students enrolled at Ordean East to come and learn some folk music, how to jam, and to prepare for performances in school and in the community! What instrument can join? If it has strings it will work! Banjo, mandolin, ukulele, banjolin, manobass or any other stringed/fretted instrument. Irish drum, too. This is not a beginning instrument class. You must know how to play your instrument a bit. We will learn to play melody and harmony and how to chop and play chords for back-up. You don’t need to be amazing; you just need to LOVE playing and want to learn a new tune by ear or with music. Fiddleband will perform at OEMS Orchestra concerts Dec 16, Mar 10, May 12 at 7:00 P.M. Requirement: Have your own instrument, practice at home and have fun learning new music with new and old friends. Where: Orchestra Room #3440 When: Fall Session meets Thursdays, October 23rd - January 29th. 3:30-4:30 PM (first and second year players) 4:30-5:30 (returning/advanced players). Cost: $20

Students dive into a wide range of hands-on topics—including Biology, Forensics, and Engineering challenges—all while building teamwork, problem-solving skills, and confidence. With coaching and support, students strengthen their connection to school while having fun exploring STEM. Club meets at OEMS, Room 1110 Wednesdays 3:30-5 pm. Our sessions kick off on October 1!
